TROW Group X Moana Pasifika 2024

OVERVIEW:

In 2024 oue Tonga division was offered a awesome collaboration opportunity with Sky Sports for the Moana Pasifika vs The Highlanders match at Teufaiva Stadium. This groundbreaking partnership allowed us to craft Tonga’s first-ever DHL Super Rugby Pacific match setup, a project that involved constructing a camera stand entirely from recycled timber sourced from Aotearoa. This initiative represents our commitment to sustainability and innovative design, setting the stage for future projects that positively impact both the environment and local communities. 

Our relationship with Moana Pasifika began in 2023, and since then, we’ve remained dedicated to supporting their mission of Pacific excellence, both on and off the field. The opportunity to build the match setup from the ground up was more than just a technical challenge—it was a chance to showcase a broader vision for a Circular Economy in the Pacific, where resources are reused and repurposed for maximum benefit. By bringing this vision to life in Tonga, we hope to inspire similar initiatives throughout the region. 

Of course, this project came with its own set of challenges, but thanks to the unwavering support of key stakeholders—including Moana Pasifika CEO Pelenato Sakalia, SFL/TROW Group Tonga, Sky Sports Camera manager George Smith, and the Tonga Rugby Committee—we were able to navigate every obstacle with success. This marked a significant achievement for our Tonga division, as it was our first collaboration with major corporations, a true testament to their commitment to sustainability and shared values.

A heartfelt “Malo Aupito” goes out to our incredible team in Tonga—Ben Tautuaa, Amelia, and all the staff involved—for their dedication and hard work in bringing this project to life. Without their support, none of this would have been possible.
