TROW Group was part of a full-scale collaboration between four contractor groups to recover and salvage as much as possible from the redevelopment of the former Mt Roskill Borough Council building.

The scope of work included developing a waste plan and identifying material from the early ‘soft-strip’ stage of the project.

• It was the first time Auckland Council had offered a tender for salvaging materials from a demolition of a council building, with the materials to go to community organisations.
• Over three tonnes of material were recovered and delivered to ten community-based organisations, including maraes, churches, community groups and social enterprises.
