Tevita Angitau

Quantity Surveyor

Tevita was born and raised in Lofanga, Ha’apai in Tonga. He is now married to his lovely wife Kalolaine. Growing up, his parents worked hard on their crop plantations, which sustained them, as well as seafood from the Ocean. Consistent church, family and village obligations were prioritized as well as succeeding academically. This meant thinking outside the box and being frugal with their resources to support themselves and to help others. Instead of constricting or defining themselves to their material possessions they epitomised necessity as the mother of all their innovation.

Pursuing further tertiary education on the mainland in Tongatapu & Overseas, Tevita carried his parent’s practical ideologies and sought any available opportunities at his disposal to pursue his educational journey. He had been blessed with various scholarship’s especially from the New Zealand Government which included an In-Country Award (ICA), a Short-Term Training Award (STTA), and a New Zealand Scholarship for Undergraduate & Postgraduate Studies all within the Construction & Engineering Industries. Additionally, he considers it a blessing to gain experience under some qualified & professional expertise in the industries, both from a Main Consultant’s side and a Main Contractor’s side.

Tevita’s origin laid the foundation for his ambition, intuition, and courage to strive for every opportunity available to him and utilise the resources he had at his disposal to further develop his knowledge, skills, and experience. It also created his distinct character and enabled him to reciprocate resources to his homeland. As TROW’s Quantity Surveyor, Tevita excels at the forefront of every project.
