As the Communication and Media lead at TROW Group, Jayda brings her passion for Pasifika culture and commitment to positive change into every aspect of her work. In her role, she’s responsible for shaping and communicating TROW’s vision, engaging with diverse communities, and using a variety of media platforms to advocate for cultural empowerment and revitalization.
Jayda’s role involves crafting messages that resonate with both Aotearoa and the Pacific, ensuring TROW’s mission is clearly communicated across multiple channels. Her ability to connect with and inspire audiences reflects her expertise in strategic communication, while her deep understanding of cultural representation allows her to elevate Pasifika and Māori voices in meaningful ways.
Her experience leading workshops and initiatives has further strengthened her skills in content creation and message delivery. Whether through facilitating dance workshops or guiding students through the transition from high school to university, Jayda has always prioritized clear, impactful communication. She excels at adapting her message to suit different audiences, using a blend of verbal, physical, and visual communication to engage people on multiple levels.
One of Jayda’s key strengths is her ability to build relationships. Whether connecting with students, educators, or community stakeholders, she understands the importance of trust and collaboration in communication. Her work with organizations such as Auckland Council, Ministry of Education etc. has allowed her to form valuable partnerships and advocate for positive change, especially for Māori and Pasifika communities.
